ABOUT MOUNTAIN HIGH CREAMERY

Mountain High Creamery launched just two years ago in the heart of Ketchum, Idaho—and is growing 50% year-over-year to become a neighborhood favorite. We’re more than an ice cream shop: we’re a gathering place where community, joy, and great ingredients come together.

We serve a rotating menu of high-quality soft serve, homemade liege waffles, house-blend hot cocoa, and other sweet treats—all made with care. With clear product-market fit, we’re now focused on building the team, culture, and strategy to take Mountain High Creamery into its next chapter.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re searching for an enthusiastic, hands-on General Manager to help lead Mountain High Creamery’s next chapter. If you love leading teams, solving puzzles, and building community—in a startup environment that values joy and boldness, this is your role.

You’ll be stepping into a business with real momentum and genuine community love. The big questions you’ll help us answer:

• How do we deepen our roots in the community and stay genuinely connected to the people who visit?
• What does sustainable, joyful growth look like—in-store, through events, and beyond?
• Is our next move retail expansion, wholesale, or something we haven’t thought of yet?
• How do we build a culture that scales without losing what makes us special?
• What does a healthy, growing Mountain High Creamery look like in 3 years, 5 years, 10 years?

You’ll hone your entrepreneurial chops, shape our culture, and make a lasting impact both in-store and in the broader community. There is real room to test, learn, and lead.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all daily operations, ensuring every customer enjoys a delightful experience and the highest quality treats.

• Lead, train, and inspire a small, energetic team—cultivating a positive, creative workplace where everyone’s ideas matter. Scale the team during peak months and as growth demands it.

• Collaborate with founders to strategize for continued growth and bring new concepts to life.

• Engage with the local community through events, partnerships, and social media—creating genuine connections online and in real life.

• Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and ordering—balancing efficiency with a flair for experimentation.

• Monitor shop performance, track KPIs, and report progress toward our goals.

• Contribute to the broader company vision—this is a place to build something real.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 2–7 years of experience in growth, consulting, food service, hospitality, or retail—or some inspired combination of the above.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: you take initiative, learn through action, and want to build something meaningful.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Comfort with a fast-paced, bootstrapped environment where change is constant and opportunity abounds.
• Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and community engagement is a plus.
• Ice cream or QSR experience is a bonus, not a requirement—we’re more interested in your drive, your enthusiasm, and your belief that you can build this business than your résumé.
