Barback – Mercadito Lincoln Park
Mercadito is hiring barbacks for our Lincoln Park location at 2423 N Lincoln Ave.
We are looking for dependable, energetic team members who work with urgency and take pride in keeping the bar clean, stocked, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive, and comfortable working in a busy, high-volume restaurant environment.
Responsibilities include:
Stocking liquor, beer, wine, glassware, ice, and bar supplies
Supporting bartenders throughout service
Maintaining clean and organized bar stations
Washing and polishing glassware
Preparing garnishes, juices, and other bar ingredients
Restocking coolers
Removing trash and keeping service areas clean
Assisting with opening and closing duties
Requirements:
Previous barback or restaurant experience strongly preferred
Friday through Sunday availability required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Strong work ethic and team mentality
Ability to move quickly and multitask under pressure
BASSET and Food Handler certifications preferred or required upon hire
