We are searching for a talented RN-Bed Placement Unit PD I

Hours:Per Diem

Shift:Day/Evening shift with availability to work 2 weekend shifts per schedule. Required to work 2 holidays per year: one summer and one winter. List to be provided; 7:00am - 7:00pm and 7:00pm - 7:00am

Location: St. Lukes Hospital New Bedford MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager Bed Flow Coordination or Designee perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: provide direction to access appropriate placement of all admissions and transfers across the system monitor room availability and turnover of beds act as a central contact for all bed management decisions etc. Coordinate bed flow meetings as needed and implement tools to enable a centralized information base. Work cooperatively with ancillary staff including transport environmental services laboratory radiology dietary and medical records staff. Ensure patient service is continuous and of high quality. Actively participate in culture related activities and serve as a role model for culture related behaviors such as service standards. Provide a high level customer service and customer satisfaction in the placement of patients within Southcoast. Perform accurate and timely pre-registration intake interview.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use bed-tracking system required.
  • Knowledge of Teletracking bed system preferred.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution interpersonal critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
  • A minimum of five years related clinical experience required.
  • Two years experience in a critical care environment preferred.
  • Previous Bed Flow experience preferred.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

  • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $44.92 - USD $82.48 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement
