About Us Harper Church is an EFCA congregation in the Pacific Northwest with a rich 100‑year history. With an average attendance of 350 and a vibrant blend of long‑standing members and a growing number of young families, we are prayerfully looking for the right individual to partner with us in gospel ministry in our church and community. This role is ideal for someone who is relational, communicative, collaborative, and competent to oversee a few events and carry out some administrative tasks. We are receiving applications from those who have formal theological education and are open to pursuing ordination within the EFCA. Above all, we are seeking someone who is passionate about Jesus and seeing lives transformed by the Gospel and who aligns with our vision: Becoming a Community of Grace by Transforming Broken People into Committed Followers of Jesus Christ. Key Ministry Responsibilities Ministry Oversight and Collaboration Collaborate with the senior pastor regarding day‑to‑day responsibilities (praying, planning, and executing assorted needs and ministries) Oversee and empower various ministries and teams (e.g. Small Groups and Men’s Ministry) Oversee and lead Deacon meetings Assist other staff members in ministry and operational matters Assist in preaching Sunday mornings (6‑12x a year) Pastoral Care Embrace our vision for ministry and pass it on to those you serve Enfold visitors into Harper Church through our membership process Disciple and grow the body of Christ Provide encouragement to the elderly and shut‑ins Perform occasional weddings and funerals Leadership Development Build relationships across the church to identify potential leaders Employ discernment when recruiting leaders Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to improve the training of key leaders Events Coordination Recruit and organize volunteers for Sunday morning and occasionally as needed Oversee specific annual functions that serve our church family Coordinate with other ministry leads to accomplish church‑wide functions Administrative Responsibilities Assist the Senior Pastor with evaluating and adjusting annual budgets alongside the administrative assistant and finance board chairman Plan and prepare semiannual membership meetings Assist the Property Board Chairman with prioritizing facilities improvement projects Oversee the membership process and maintain membership records Relationships Accountable to the Senior Pastor Collaborate with various staff for church wide functions Assist Staff/Volunteers to run the Sunday services with excellence Employment Status Full Time Benefits Competitive Salary Medical benefits Retirement contributions Vacation Sick Leave Flex Time Holidays Training #J-18808-Ljbffr
