Job Description We are seeking a Part‑Time Nurse Educator to support the professional and clinical development of bedside nurses at St. Joseph Hospital – Orange, CA. The position is part‑time, 8‑hour day shifts. Responsibilities The Nurse Educator/ Nursing Professional Development Practitioner has advanced clinical, leadership, and staff development knowledge and skills. Responsibilities include: Support the professional and clinical development of bedside nurses and foster empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in evidence‑based nursing care. Facilitate the educational process through assessment of learning needs; develop, plan, implement, and evaluate educational programs and activities, in collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams. Facilitate all levels of competency validation, from orientation through advanced. Collaborate with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance with respect to clinical practice through education and competency validation. Participate in strategic planning to achieve outcomes. Lead groups working on projects related to staff development. Act as a consultant to committees and teams and recommend improvements in patient care through policy, procedure, and program development. Support integration of research into practice and serve as a resource and mentor to staff. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. California Registered Nurse license (upon hire). National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire). Certification in clinical specialty or nursing education within 6 months of hire. 3 years acute hospital experience in a clinical area. 3 years experience in a clinical role. 3 years clinical experience in specialty area. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing.
