Overview The nationally-ranked Capital Markets practice group seeks an associate with approximately three (3) to five (5) years of experience in sophisticated corporate finance transactions, particularly public securities offerings under the Securities Act of 1933, as issuer’s or underwriters’ counsel, and in general corporate and corporate governance matters. The ideal candidate would have significant experience advising public companies under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The candidate should have a strong academic record, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and a desire to be part of a team working on a diverse range of transactional work. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge transactions directly with partners, counsel, and associates who are team-oriented. There is potential to work across offices with industry groups including Energy, Financial Services, Real Estate Investment & Finance, and Retail and Consumer Products. This position can be filled in our DC or Richmond offices. Qualifications Approximately 3–5 years of experience in corporate finance transactions and public securities offerings. Significant experience advising public companies under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. Strong academic record and outstanding analytical and communication skills. Licensed in the relevant jurisdiction within one year of joining; ability to work in DC or Richmond offices preferred. Details Location: Washington, DC or Richmond, VA (office flexibility). Salary range at posting: $260,000 to $365,000; actual offers vary based on education, training, skill sets, licensure, practice area, experience, internal equity, and market data.
