Part time Warehouse Assistant - Auditor

Description of Work

Downstack pallets of grocery, electronically scan product, rebuild pallet according to company guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Conveys materials to and from designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Records amounts of materials as audited.
• Uses computer to enter records.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials, or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power jack.
• Operates industrial pallet jack or power fork lift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Uses protective equipment as required or as necessary.

Qualifications

Any combination of education, training and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Abilities:

• Must be able to work without immediate supervision.

Experience, Education and Training:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision of / better eye with a field of °, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Other requirements of this job include a low risk for loss of consciousness due to neurologic, diabetic or cardiac conditions; no undiagnosed or unstable conditions; no medication effects; and potential pregnancy limits may apply.

The employee may also be required to work + hours a day for - consecutive days, with possible overtime and/or rotating shifts.

The communication requirements of this job include recognition of auditory sounds and signals; verbal communication and written symbols; verbal/visual analysis of information using some judgment; supervised individual work and some coordination of group work to ensure task completion.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, with a range of sounds, including driving equipment at decibels average for the better ear.

• Must be able to work nontraditional hours as needed (before and after normal office hours and weekends).

Licensing/Experience:

Forklift/pallet jack certification helpful.
