This role oversees tax engagements from planning through completion, mentors staff accountants, manages client relationships, and contributes to the firm's billing and profitability goals. This is an in-office position based in our Dallas office.Key Responsibilities* Manage and review individual, business, and/or fiduciary tax returns for accuracy and compliance* Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients* Mentor, train, and supervise staff accountants and senior associates, providing feedback and supporting their professional growth* Manage client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts* Prepare and manage client billing, including monitoring engagement budgets, realization, and timely invoicing* Communicate with clients regarding tax notices, deadlines, and planning opportunities* Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes* Collaborate with partners and other managers on firm initiatives and workflow managementWhat We Offer* Competitive salary based on experience* Work-life balance, including reasonable hours especially outside of peak tax season* Health, dental, and vision insurance* 401(k) with firm match* Flexible time off* CPE support / continuing education reimbursement* Supportive, team-oriented office cultureLJB CPA is an equal opportunity employer.Requirements:* CPA license required (or actively pursuing CPA with relevant experience)* 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting* Proven experience mentoring, training, or supervising staff* Experience with client billing, engagement budgets, and realization management* Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations* Excellent communication and client relationship skills* Proficiency with tax preparation, tax planning, and research software (e.g., Lacerte, CCH Axcess, Holistiplan)* Must be authorized to work in the United States (we are unable to sponsor work visas for this position)PI08f692205fca-29400-41058334
