View Point Health Job Title: Residential Care Provider (RCP) Job Code: SSS010/ Client Support Worker or T6001/Support Services Worker Shift: Full-Time (40 Hours Per Week) - with a rotating on call schedule Job Hours: Day - Times May Vary Base Location: Norcross, GA Division/Department/Program: CRA Horizon Respite View Point Health is a community behavioral health center utilizing a team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors and social workers, as well as other professionals to provide services to individuals who need treatment and support to cope with mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. View Point Health serves uninsured, underinsured, low-income Medicaid, Medicare, war veterans and some private insurance across multiple locations with a full continuum of behavioral health services and support. The Residential Care Provider monitors general resident activity to observe and report behavior/progress of individuals with severe developmental disabilities living in a group home or other community residential setting and provides individualized skills training courses according to residents needs. Duties & Responsibilities: Meet face to face with the clients to make a high-level assessment of current conditions 3x a day; inquire about client needs; and review client's itinerary for the day. Provide skills training to clients for a minimum of 1-2x/week. Provide groceries/household items and/or transportation to the grocery store/food pantry. Provide transportation to doctor appointments, job interviews, and government offices as needed.Provide transportation to View Point services as needed.Assist clients in learning to navigate public transportation. Monitor client medication compliance daily and assist with securing refills as needed. Perform unit inspections for cleanliness and safety, assist with compliance as needed, and prepare units for new clients when beds become available. Enter paraprofessional notes to reflect the services and specific skill training that was offered.Applicants should be able to lift groceries and items up to 15 pounds.Other program related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and six (6) months of relevant job-related training or experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with clients with mental health and substance abuse diagnosis in a residential setting.Flexibility in managing daily tasks is of utmost importance.Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), DirectCare Professional (DCP) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred. Requirements/Competencies: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Must have a valid Drivers License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Requires TB Evaluation at pre-employment and annually.Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must be willing to transport residents in the company van.Must demonstrate the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients in a residential treatment setting.Must be able to lift and carry groceries and supplies and move furniture for cleaning.Must be able to assist disabled individuals on/offvehicle and secure seatbelts.Must be able to use a gait belt and mechanical lift to lift and position individuals, as needed.
