Job title: PATH Intl. Education High School Diploma required; PATH CTRI required Position Details CTRIs will teach between 20-25 participants in a mix of private, semi-private, and group therapeutic riding lessons each week while supervising and providing direction to program volunteers. CTRIs will also assist with program-related activities (such as schooling horses, other equine needs, horse handling/sidewalking, and special events). We are looking for someone with a positive “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail with a high degree of initiative and problem‑solving skills. Instructor Responsibilities Develop effective lesson plans and instruct clients each week to develop horsemanship skills Keep daily attendance and notes in Salesforce for each participant according to ROCK procedures Create goals for each participant and ensure communication with participants/parents/caregivers/guardians regarding progress toward each goal at the end of each riding lesson Engage participants in lessons to increase goal attainment, motivation, joy, and satisfaction. Instruct in summer camps, volunteer training, and other programs/events throughout the year Assist with schooling horses both mounted and unmounted, feeding and any other equine needs Follow and uphold all PATH Intl. and ROCK-approved practices, policies, and procedures Mentor instructors in training, interns, and volunteers, as needed Consistently communicate with volunteers who are assisting during lessons to keep them engaged and involved in the lesson Assist in lessons as needed as a sidewalker or horse handler Other duties assigned by the Program Director and the CEO Preferred Minimum Qualifications/Experience 2 years of experience teaching at a PATH Intl. accredited facility Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities Demonstrate proficiency in horse care and behavior Special Requirements Successfully complete pre-employment background check Current certification in CPR and First Aid PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) certification or higher Proof of certification required #J-18808-Ljbffr
