Division and Role The Division of Corporation Finance, Disclosure Review Program (DRP) is seeking an early career Law Clerk (Disclosure Review Law Clerk) with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The DRP is organized as nine Industry Offices. As a Law Clerk, you will assist on a variety of matters within one of the nine Industry Offices in the DRP. Responsibilities Review and analyze disclosure documents in accordance with relevant rules, regulations, standards, and Agency, Division, and Office positions to determine compliance with agency and industry regulations. Consider a variety of factors, general and subject matter‑specific, when making decisions and determining next steps. Interact with internal and external others in a manner that advances SEC goals and objectives. Effectively prioritize workload to accommodate unforeseen developments and achieve successful outcomes. Qualifications J.D. or LL.B. degree from an ABA accredited law school, or completion of a first professional law degree (LLB) by the closing date of the vacancy announcement. Bar certification: Not barred/licensed on the closing date and able to obtain Bar/License Certification within 14 months of appointment. Conversion to a permanent position upon certification. Experience may be earned in the private or public sector; paid, unpaid, or volunteer work (including National Service programs) is recognized and counts toward qualification.
