Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting – Hybrid Locations: NewBritain, CT • Towson, MD • ValleyCity, OH The Job Identify opportunities to streamline accounting data and processes and work cross‑functionally to design and implement changes. Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes for Corporate related functions (Derivatives, Debt, Retirement Plans, Equity, Prepaid Expenses, Self‑funded reserves, etc.), including preparing and posting journal entries and understanding the technical accounting that supports them. Perform general ledger reconciliation. Conduct financial statement analysis. Actively engage business leaders and various corporate and business departments to drive accounting‑close efficiency and resolve issues. Coordinate, review, and prepare schedules for internal and external auditors. Apply professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues. Collaborate with business units and IT to enhance General Accounting systems. Assist non‑financial departments with reporting and accounting issues and participate in financial projects and initiatives. Provide guidance and support to team members to improve performance and develop technical competencies. Assist with accounting policy or procedure changes and internal communications. Qualifications BS in Accounting required. Self‑motivated CPA with 3–4years of progressive accounting experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent industry experience. Strong technical skills and ability to analyze new transactions. Excellent time‑management skills and ability to overcome obstacles to meet deadlines. Experience with SAP and Hyperion (Enterprise/HFM) systems preferred. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
