Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) Must-Have: BLS Certification Description: About the Facility: - Level III Trauma Center - Level III NICU - Magnet Designation - Primary Stroke Center - Total Beds: 636 Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: - Ophthalmology: Anterior - Cataract, Glaucoma, Corneal Surgery; Posterior - Vitrectomy, retinal detachment - Orthopedic: Procedures include carpal tunnel, trigger finger, small joint fusions, ORIF distal radius - General: Procedures include mastectomy, breast biopsy Required Skills: - Experience with specified cases in ophthalmology, orthopedic, and general surgery - Understanding and assisting with surgical procedures - Ability to work within a team environment Technology/Equipment: - EMR: Epic - IV Pumps: Alaris - Med Dispensing: Pyxis Scheduling Details: - On-call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays - 30-minute response time expected - Call rotation may adjust based on staffing needs - Schedule includes variable start times, typically between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM Additional Notes: - Surgical scrubs provided by the facility; scrub caps allowed with surgical bouffant covering - Food options available on campus
