E-Sports Head Coach (Fall) - BCHS

Job Description Assistant Coach duty to support the physical, mental, and social development of student athletes at Boyle County Schools. Coaches are responsible for providing training, instruction, and guidance while adhering to Kentucky High School Athletic Association rules and the policies of the Boyle County Board of Education. Qualifications High school graduate and 21 years of age (KRS 156.070(f)(2)). Fundamental knowledge of the sport and related health and safety regulations. Coaching experience preferred. Willingness to complete CPR, AED, and other required training. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise practices and competitions. Teach individual skills, team play, strategy, game rules, sportsmanship, and self‑control. Coordinate with the Head Coach for tryouts, practice and game schedules, and transportation needs. Assist in checking medical and academic eligibility, and secure parental consents. Provide role modeling, emotional support, patience, friendliness, and general guidance to student athletes. Recognize and adapt to student differences in needs, abilities, and interests. Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms, ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines and district funds usage. Maintain punctuality, reliability, equipment care, communication, confidentiality, and adherence to district and school policies. Complete required coach training. Follow Kentucky High School Athletic Association policies and procedures. Follow Boyle County Board of Education policies, employee handbook, code of ethics, and relevant statutes. Fulfill all contractual obligations of the position. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Student athletes. Working Conditions Frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and bend or twist at the neck and trunk. Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Require close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally walk on slippery surfaces; occasionally sit, climb, or balance. Exposure to temperature changes, including outdoor work with extreme weather. Noise level frequently loud.
