Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Experience: 2 years RNFA experience License: Michigan Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: RNFA experience Description: A Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is an advanced perioperative nurse who works directly with the lead surgeon in the operating room. RNFAs manage patient care before, during, and after surgery. They assist in performing safe and efficient operations by controlling bleeding, holding tissue, and closing wounds.
