To support coding accuracy and compliance, the part-time PA/NJ Licensed Remote Coder will code and abstract physician services from medical records according to established guidelines while maintaining a high accuracy rate and conducting educational sessions for medical staff. Key responsibilities Codes and abstracts professional fee hospital services using ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS II guidelines Maintains a 95% coding accuracy rate through quality reviews and ensures daily productivity Conducts educational sessions for medical staff on coding and documentation compliance Required qualifications RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS-P certification required Minimum 1-3 years of experience in CPT/HCPCS physician procedural coding Working knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding Previous experience with computerized patient record and coding systems preferred
