Job descriptionThe Production Technician is responsible for the production of quality products while operating at the highest level of efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA.
This position is also charged with keeping accurate production records to comply with HACCP and PVP programs.
DUTIES Learn and retain procedures for start-up, operating, and stopping machineryConstant monitoring of machinery to identify maintenance issuesContinuous machine maintenance in accordance with proceduresContinuous operation of computerized dryer equipment, augers, hammermills, tanks, pumps, bins, grinders, and other equipmentFrequent performance of wash-out procedures of incoming/outgoing tanker trucks in accordance with proceduresFrequent loading and unloading of product trucks in accordance with proceduresDaily sample taking and analysis in accordance with proceduresDaily cleaning of office, restrooms, and conference roomResponsible for all other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma, or equivalent certification preferredProficient oral and written communication skillsEffective listening skillsAbility to keep accurate records WORK ENVIRONMENT Climbing ladders up to 45 feetLifting minimum of 50 poundsConstant activities of work environment include standing, walking, balancing, bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, pulling a resistance of 20 poundsOccasional crawlingExposure to animal dander, dust, sulfite allergensExposure to constant loud noiseRegular overtime work requiredVarying shifts may be possible Important Disclaimer Notice: The job duties, elements, responsibilities, skills, functions, experience, educational factors as well as the requirements and conditions listed in this job posting are representative only and not an exhaustive list of the tasks that the employee may be required to perform that may also be considered essential to the position.
