Job description

Patient Advocacy Liaison

Do you want to join a team where the mission is meaningful, the challenges are complex, and you can directly see the results of your hard work? Lundbeck is a global biopharmaceutical company focusing exclusively on brain health. With more than 70 years of experience in neuroscience, we are committed to improving the lives of people with neurological and psychiatric diseases. Lundbeck employees are inspired and driven by our purpose to advance brain health and transform lives. Join us on our journey of growth!

The Patient Advocacy Liaison is responsible for strategic engagement with patient advocacy groups to advance patient-centered initiatives, improve disease awareness, enhance access to care, and support organizational objectives. This role will develop and execute data-driven engagement plans with measurable KPIs and return-on-engagement metrics while serving as the primary liaison to key advocacy organizations. Internally they will partner cross-functionally to gather and communicate patient and caregiver insights that inform advocacy strategies, asset planning, and lifecycle priorities. The Patient Advocacy Liaison will also travel regularly to represent Lundbeck at conferences, advisory boards, and community events and build compliant, collaborative relationships, driving impactful patient engagement through strategic leadership and cross-functional influence.

Execute patient advocacy and partnership strategies for a defined portfolio of patient advocacy groups (PAGs) by developing annual engagement plans that include clear objectives, key activities, success metrics, and quarterly progress reviews. Ensure that the planned strategic engagements are executed against a measurable plan and that each priority relationship demonstrates progress against shared business objectives. Complete post-program assessments within five business days and ensure that at least 80% of initiatives meet or exceed predefined success criteria. Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with PAG leadership, caregivers, patients, and community stakeholders while adhering to the highest standards of compliance and documentation. Conduct structured engagement reviews with priority organizations at least twice annually and maintain accurate records of engagement objectives, outcomes, and follow-up actions. Capture, analyze, and synthesize patient and community insights into actionable reports and recommendations for internal stakeholders. Deliver regular insight summaries and ensure patient perspectives are incorporated into relevant advocacy, patient engagement, and asset planning discussions. Contribute meaningful patient insights to a minimum of two key planning initiatives annually. Support the planning and execution of local and national conferences, roundtables, community programs, and advocacy events within assigned PAG communities. Develop event objectives, identify opportunities for partnership engagement, complete structured RoE assessments following priority engagements, and communicate key learnings and recommended actions to relevant stakeholders within established timelines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all advocacy activities, engagements, funding requests, and program outcomes. Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory, and company policies, with timely completion of required compliance documentation and reporting.

Accredited Bachelor's degree 5+ years of total experience in patient advocacy or patient engagement work developing and managing strategic relationships with patient advocacy organizations, professional societies, or healthcare stakeholders. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority. Experienced in developing and delivering materials in a range of settings, including external presentations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities, and track progress against defined objectives and timelines. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate insights to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to bring together stakeholders and build consensus on strategies among peers and across different reporting structures. Collaborative, team-oriented approach to work. "Patient First" customer service orientation puts the patient at the center of all business activities.

Accredited Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, Public Policy, Business, or a related field. Experience in neuroscience, rare disease, or specialty pharmaceuticals. Established relationships with national or regional patient advocacy organizations. Experience supporting product launches, lifecycle management, or patient-centered initiatives. Experience working across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Public Affairs, Legal, and Compliance.
