Supporting a client on a contract basis, the Senior Engineer, Thermal Hydraulic Methods will develop system-level thermal hydraulic analysis methods, perform analyses to assess model behavior, and enhance modeling practices while working remotely. Key responsibilities Develop system-level thermal hydraulic analysis methods, including modeling strategies and numerical approaches Perform steady-state and transient system-level analyses to characterize model behavior and assess method performance Document modeling methodologies and ensure integration with plant design and safety analysis workflows Required qualifications Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering, or related field 6+ years of experience in system-level thermal hydraulic modeling and method development for nuclear or complex energy systems Experience with tools such as RELAP5 3D, GOTHIC, or SAS for thermal hydraulic analyses Strong foundation in thermal fluids and reactor system behavior relevant to advanced reactor designs Familiarity with scientific programming and workflow automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
