Job description
Providing executive leadership and strategic direction, the full-time Deputy Director of Administration will oversee the Administration and Innovation Division, managing operational oversight, technology initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance environmental permitting processes, while working in a hybrid environment. Key responsibilities Lead strategic initiatives to improve the environmental permitting experience and enhance transparency in permit processes Support the Division Director in strategic planning, budget management, and workforce development Supervise management and professional staff while representing the Division in various administrative and governance initiatives Required qualifications Master's degree in accounting, business or public administration, or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with four to six years of experience in administrative functions Experience performing and supervising administrative functions in a moderate-sized office, department, or agency Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is preferred Experience with the VISION system may be required for some positions One year of experience as an Administrative Services Director II with the State of Vermont may qualify
