News Director for KMUL
The news director for KMUL is responsible for collecting and publishing news briefs on kmulradio.com, covering news that happens on campus, recording a by-weekly newscast, and supervising student reporters.
Duties Include:
- Reviewing UCM Daily and campus bulletin boards for flyers to produce news briefs to publish on Central News on KMULradio.com
- Taking news briefs, recording VOX Pops, and reporting on news events to produce a by-weekly newscast to air at pre-scheduled times on KMUL
- Working with and assigning news features to student reporters.
Typical Qualifications:
Education: Junior or Senior at the University of Central Missouri
Experience: At least one year of high school or college journalism experience
Working Hours and Days: Monday - Saturday 7:00 AM- 10:00 PM as scheduled. No more than 20 hours a week.

Temporary, adjunct, student employment, or graduate assistant positions: Benefits are not included.
