Med / Surg RN Job Details – Hilo, Hawaii

Location : Hilo, Hawaii (96720) – Premier destination for travel nurses seeking Hawaii healthcare jobs

Position : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shift, 12-hour rotating shifts

Unit : Adult Medical-Surgical Unit

Orientation : Full orientation provided for all travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Hawaii RN license (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)

Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

Proof of flu vaccination or approved exemption required before contract start

Flexibility to work various shifts and days (shift preference not guaranteed)

Professional nursing attire required

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced med / surg unit

Perform general nursing duties and procedures as outlined by hospital protocols

Float to other units such as Laulima Unit and Cardiovascular Unit as needed

Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 8 during night shifts

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
