Manufacturing Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who specializes in product assembly. This is a hand-built product where you will be manipulating pieces and parts together to make fuses. This person will be joining a smaller team allowing for a career opportunity to help grow the business. Due to the smaller size of the plant, this person will get the opportunity to be involved in multiple functions of the plant. Responsibilities include :

• Develop and optimize new manufacturing processes, equipment, and fixtures
• Perform process capability studies ensuring manufacturing processes are in control
• Provide technical assistance for facility to assure the smooth operation of processes
• Support the process training for production employees
• Provide process input for new and redesigned products
• Work with leadership to troubleshoot processes and equipment
• Responsible for accuracy of product routing and times
• Continuously improve the production floor through Lean Manufacturing methods
• Manage long term capital improvement projects
• Support and develop processes for facility
• Travel as needed for project
