Job description

Job Description

A law firm in Orlando is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with experience in civil defense litigation to support attorneys in areas such as trucking litigation, premises liability, personal injury, and products liability. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case files and document production
  • Draft and respond to discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, admissions)
  • Prepare medical chronologies and summaries
  • Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and investigators
  • Assist with trial preparation, including trial notebooks and exhibit lists
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and trials as needed
  • Maintain document databases and case management systems
  • Prepare demonstrative aids and PowerPoint presentations for mediation / trial
  • Ensure all litigation and court deadlines are met

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (insurance defense preferred)
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment

    • Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with medical records and terminology
  • Experience in both state and federal court procedures
  • Background in bodily injury, construction defect, or general liability cases
