Robert Half Management Resources is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join one of our clients on an interim basis. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations and system improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and process optimization.
Responsibilities :
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures, maintaining timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial records.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Lead efforts in improving business processes and documenting workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Support the migration from QuickBooks to Dynamics 365 Business Central, validating data and addressing system challenges.
- Train staff on new system functionalities and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and cash flow to ensure financial operations run smoothly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and standardize accounting practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial processes and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Proven experience in business process documentation and improvement.
- Familiarity with month-end close procedures and account reconciliations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
