POSITION SUMMARY :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- CPA preferred
- Mix of audit and industry experience preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software NetSuite preferred
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong team player
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessResponsible for daily bank reconciliationsAnalyze financial data and present insights to managementAssist with financial variance analysisEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesSupport external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiriesParticipate in process improvement initiatives and system implementationsServe as a backup to other accounting functions within the Accounting departmentPerform other duties as assignedWORK CONDITIONS :
