Position Overview
Sigma is seeking a Dental Assistant for a full-time 3+ month onsite contract opportunity in Boston, MA . This role supports a Pre-Doctoral Group Practice and involves working closely with students, faculty, and patients in a fast-paced, academic clinical setting .
The ideal candidate will be a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA or EFDA) with Massachusetts licensure , clinical experience , and strong communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic dental environment that fosters learning, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to students using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare and disinfect operatories between patients and ensure instruments are sterilized properly
- Manage operatory supply inventory and restock as needed
- Support evening and Saturday clinics as required
- Review treatment plans with patients and explain procedures clearly
- Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in patient care
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure quality care and efficient clinic operations
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control protocols
- Use Microsoft Office applications for communication and reporting
Qualifications
Massachusetts Dental Assistant License (Required)Certified Dental Assistant (CDA, EFDA, or FTDA) (Required)CPR and Radiology certifications (Required)Experience in a dental practice or academic dental care settingStrong knowledge of dental terminology and treatment proceduresExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to manage multiple students and support up to 8 operatories simultaneouslyProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred but not requiredAdditional Requirements
