Diesel Technician (Davenport)

Role Description.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Diesel Field Technician located in Davenport, FL. The technician will be responsible for day-to-day tasks like maintaining company vehicles, company equipment, ensuring they are in top condition and operate safely on our construction sites. Your expertise will be responsible for minimizing downtime in the equipment and vehicle fleet.

Job Requirements

• Technical or vocational training preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
• Experience with diagnostic tools and software for diesel engines
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
• Strong understanding of diesel engine and vehicle systems
• Strong welding capabilities are a plus
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel engines and vehicles
• Valid drivers license; CDL preferred but not required
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overtime if necessary
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations
• Experience with fleet management software is a plus
