Our short, motivational videos focused on life, business, and relationships receive over 1 Billion views monthly and have garnered over 40 Billion views on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

BIG PICTURE :

Dhar Mann is seeking a talented and experienced Screenwriter to join our team and transform beat sheets into compelling scripts for our YouTube channel.

This role is crucial in bringing our video concepts to life through engaging narratives that resonate with our audience.

As a Screenwriter, you will play a key role in shaping the storytelling aspect of our content and ensuring that each video delivers a powerful message.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME :

  • Translate beat sheets and outlines into full-length 15-20 page scripts, capturing the essence of the story and characters.
  • Develop dialogue, scene descriptions, and action sequences that effectively convey the intended message and emotional impact.
  • Collaborate closely with the Ideas Manager to ensure script alignment with overall creative vision and objectives.
  • Conduct research as needed to ensure accuracy and authenticity in storytelling, particularly for scripts based on real-life scenarios.
  • Incorporate feedback from the creative team and iterate on scripts to enhance narrative clarity, pacing, and character development.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across scripts while adapting to the specific requirements of each video concept.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, storytelling techniques, and audience preferences to continuously improve scriptwriting skills and stay ahead of the curve.

WHAT YOU HAVE :

  • 2+ years experience as a Scripts Manager, or a similar senior level role within film production
  • 5+ years as a Screenwriter for short films, preferably in drama and family-friendly content
  • Strong writing talent, as well as creativity, patience, self-motivation, and an understanding of the filmmaking process
  • Ability to write for a wide range of audiences, including younger age range
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to to collaborate with multiple departments
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends and come up with solutions when emergencies arise

WHO OVERSEES YOU :

You will report directly to the Ideas and Scripts Senior Manager

WHO YOU OVERSEE :

Currently, the Screenwriting Manager oversees a team of Screenwriter Associates

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN :

You will work remotely from home or personal office

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS :

This is a full-time role, detailed schedule and flexibility will be discussed during the interview
