Location: San Francisco, Boardman Pl (On-site in Fremont, CA: Sonic Manufacturing, 47913 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539)

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, 9am to 5:30pm (flexible by 1 hour for start/end times)

About the Role
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician-II is responsible for testing and troubleshooting electromechanical equipment at the end of the assembly line. This technician ensures machines are fully functional and ready for delivery, conducting electrical tests, diagnosing issues, refining documentation, and reporting defects with precision. This hands-on role includes interpreting schematics, running scripts via command line interface, and analyzing CAN network data for system diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical equipment issues
- Conduct electrical testing (measuring voltage, resistance, continuity; performing isolation tests)
- Run scripts and queries through command line interface
- Maintain and update test and troubleshooting documentation
- Interpret functional schematics and circuit diagrams
- Analyze CAN bus network data for system diagnostics
- Identify, document, and report known and new issues accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with electromechanical systems
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Skilled in electrical testing and use of hand tools
- Experience with CAN bus tools and data logging
- Familiarity with command line interfaces
- Attention to detail in documentation and reporting
- No driver’s license or biking required for the role
