Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Neuro MedSurg Location / SchedulePeoria, Illinois | 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday | 2-week contract Why This AssignmentJoin a dedicated Neuro MedSurg unit at a Level 1 trauma facility, caring for a diverse neuroscience patient population. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, and head injury patients. Administer and titrate Heparin drips based on PTT protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Float to general units as needed, maintaining competency-based assignments. Requirements Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license. BLS and NIHSS certifications. Minimum of 1 year Level 1 trauma experience. Previous travel nursing experience required. Prior experience on a dedicated neuro unit, including heparin gtt management.
