Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to bring strong software engineering practices to the discipline of test automation.
• In this role you will design, build, and continuously improve automation frameworks, write production-quality test code, and partner with development teams to embed quality engineering throughout the SDLC.
• The ideal candidate will combine strong programming skills with deep knowledge of testing strategy, including unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing in modern distributed systems.
• In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers.
• The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.
• Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major UI automation framework (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Solid experience automating REST and/or gRPC APIs.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
• Solid SQL skills and experience with database validation.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and modern web architectures.
• Excellent debugging, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Preferred Qualifications Experience with contract testing tools (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract).
• Hands-on performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
• Exposure to security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk).
• Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testing.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
