Overview
Smith is looking for a talented and experienced Multimedia Designer to join our dynamic Marketing team. The Multimedia Designer will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality marketing collateral in line with Smith’s overarching brand strategy. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in multimedia design, preferably within a technology-based field and possess excellent communication and project-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Marketing colleagues and subject-matter experts to brainstorm, concept, design, plan, and produce attention-grabbing multimedia content to promote Smith’s business initiatives and goals
- Design and develop photo, video, animated, and graphic materials in accordance with Smith’s style guidelines
- Ensure brand standards are maintained globally across all Smith channels and locations
- Create and maintain graphics materials and handle day-to-day multimedia requests for various projects and initiatives, including advertisements, social media, webpages, fact sheets, presentations, internal communications, and signage
- Create, design, modify, and maintain Smith’s websites, landing pages, and microsites
- Lead, coordinate, and manage projects and marketing campaigns to support sales and reinforce brand awareness
- Provide multimedia support on major projects, such as trade shows, campaigns, and internal and external events
- Arrange print orders for various marketing collateral, including business cards, posters, and banners
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes that facilitate team efficiency and continuous improvement
- Monitor performance metrics, research trends, and bring in new technology and best practices for the team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication and design, art, animation, videography, photography, film, or related field5-7 years of professional experience in a creative marketing role, preferably within a technology-based industryStrong portfolio demonstrating exceptional skill in graphic and motion graphic designPhotography, photo editing, videography, and video editing skills a plusDesign experience across various media types, including video, web, email, print, etc.High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere, and After EffectsExperience with HTML, CSS, WordPress, and / or other content-management systemsExperience with Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsFamiliarity with collaborative project-management tools, such as Monday.com, Asana, or JiraFamiliarity with digital asset-management toolsRefined eye for detail and aesthetics, including composition, layout, and color theoryAbility to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projectsAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members and subject-matter experts across all departmentsSmith is an equal opportunity employer
