Job Responsibilities

In the part time role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Serve in the lead technical role in the detailed development of urban roadway design projects
• Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems
• Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity
• Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed
• Supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

8+ years project management experience (scope, schedule, budget) Experience managing projects for clients in Alaska specifically the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. Strong relationships within the Alaska A&E industry Ability to promote delivery of all HDR services to clients and serve as a Project Manager and Lead Designer for transportation/roadway projects Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of key projects to support a positive client experience Perform quality reviews of proposal and interview materials Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams Project management skills desirable Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
