Under the general supervision of the Correctional Plant Supervisor, Chief Engineer I, CF is responsible for the maintenance of buildings and grounds throughout the institution. Responsible for the in-service training for the personnel in the Plant Operations section. Chief Engineer I, CF is also responsible for representing Plant Operations on external, facility, or departmental committees or groups and other assignments as directed by the Correctional Plant Manager. Inspect all assigned work areas daily and make appropriate entries in log at each work area. Quarterly review all duty statements with staff and record date of review on Duty Statement Review Sheet. Incarcerated people will always be supervised by staff including movement to and from work areas.
Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires that each full-time employee receive a three (3) percent reduction in pay in exchange for five (5) hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
