Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. encourages LEAN thinking and supports and assists in the implementation of LEAN initiatives/KAIZENS * Ensures all processes are followed **Your boarding pass:** * An Associates' Degree in Aviation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience utilizing testing equipment including maintenance and calibration of said equipment. * A minimum of 3 years' experience in setting up and conducting tests on parts and materials. * A minimum of 3 years' experience in setting up and conducting tests on parts and materials. * Non-Destructive Evaluation Level II certification meeting the minimum requirements of NAS410 / EN4179 Standards, in at least one of the following methods: * Eddy Current Testing (ET), Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT), or Ultrasonic Testing(UT) * Additional Non-Destructive Evaluation Level II certifications in meeting the minimum requirements of NAS410 / EN4179, in the following methods: Eddy Current Testing (ET), Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT) * Experience performing NDT testing within the aerospace industry * Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite etc. * Experience inspecting advanced materials such as high strength aluminum alloys, hardened steels, Inconel, titanium, steel (super alloys), Composite Carbon fiber parts and Honeycomb Composite parts. * Knowledge of AWS/ASME, ASTM standards, Aircraft Structural and Repair Manuals. * Hands on experience using portable digital equipment such as Olympus EPOCH 650, USM Go/USM Go+, NORTEC 600, Olympus 38DL+ * An Associates' Degree in Aviation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience utilizing testing equipment including maintenance and calibration of said equipment. * Preferred: 2+ years of relevant work experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably with an aviation company. *Physical Requirements: * * Onsite 100% * Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. * Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. * Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. * Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and * personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. * Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. * Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. * Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. * Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. * Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. * Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. * Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. * Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office * and production areas including uneven surfaces. * Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety * Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site *Eligibility: * * Eligible for employment in the US without sponsorship.
