Physical Therapy Assistant Job Description Job Title Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Vacaville, California. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing to patient recovery and rehabilitation under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing prescribed treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. This position is ideal for a PTA looking to make a significant impact on patient outcomes in a supportive setting. Key Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists in providing high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services. Implement therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and home programs to promote recovery and prevent re-injury. Monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist. Ensure patient safety during all therapeutic activities and maintain a clean, organized treatment area. Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in California. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Preferred Qualifications Not specified.
