Job Requirements
- MD or DO degree required
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
- Ability to work exclusive night shifts
- Flexibility to adapt to coverage needs
- Demonstrated procedural competency with supporting logs for select procedures
- Experience performing or assisting with moderate sedation
- Ability to cover 5–7 consecutive days at a time is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medicine care in an acute inpatient environment
- Perform procedures as needed, including breast cyst aspiration, central venous pressure catheterization, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, nasal hemostatic packing, paracentesis, suprapubic bladder aspiration, thoracentesis, and moderate sedation
- Maintain flexibility to support changing coverage needs in a locum tenens setting
- Deliver safe, efficient care during overnight emergency department shifts
- Collaborate with the care team to support excellent patient outcomes
