Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Prior experience working as a school paraprofessional or in a related support role
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students facing profound or severe disabilities (highly preferred)
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of empathy, patience, and a passion for supporting student success
• Ability to follow educator directions and collaborate with school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized 1:1 support to students as assigned by classroom educators
• Assist with daily routines, classroom activities, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers or support staff
• Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans as needed
• Step in for regular paraprofessionals on a per diem basis, adapting quickly to various classroom environments
