Are you passionate about helping patients and families navigate the healthcare journey? We are seeking a highly motivated Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for referrals, admissions, and prospective residents. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless admission experience while supporting our facility's census growth and customer satisfaction goals
Respond to inquiries from hospitals, discharge planners, families, and referral sources.
Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through admission.
Conduct facility tours and provide information about services and care offerings.
Maintain accurate bed availability and occupancy information.
Process admission paperwork and verify payor source requirements.
Communicate admission needs with nursing, housekeeping, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth resident transitions.
Lead daily admissions discussions regarding admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Support census development and occupancy goals.
Maintain referral tracking systems and waiting lists.
Build strong relationships with referral partners and internal stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of healthcare experience required; long-term care experience preferred.
Previous admissions or business development experience in skilled nursing or healthcare settings is a plus.
Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
