We are currently on the hunt for a Permanent Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual who is well-versed in safety protocols and has a keen eye for identifying potential hazards.

As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Safety Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be :

1. Overseeing all aspects of our safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.

2. Implementing and managing the Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) systems.

3. Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

4. Providing safety training and education to all employees to foster a culture of safety awareness.

5. Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine their causes and recommend preventative measures.

6. Maintaining accurate records of all safety-related documents, including incident reports, inspection reports, and training records.

7. Collaborating with management and staff to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.

8. Keeping abreast of the latest safety regulations and best practices in the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate must have :

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

2. Proven experience as an SQF & HACCP Coordinator.

3. A comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and practices in the manufacturing industry.

4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential hazards.

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and educate employees on safety practices.

6. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

7. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

8. A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is preferred.
