The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is seeking a forward-thinking, solutions-driven Senior Engineer to lead the Technical Services Group within the Asset Management Unit and support the reliability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the Agency's infrastructure and facilities. We're looking for someone who is strategic, analytical, and collaborative and can apply sound engineering judgment to complex operational and asset-related challenges.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in water and wastewater treatment, engineering analysis, project management, and technical problem solving, along with an understanding of asset management principles such as asset condition, performance, criticality, risk, reliability, and lifecycle planning. This position will support Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Asset Management through engineering studies, failure and root cause analysis, equipment and technology evaluations, technical recommendations and standards, and support for capital and maintenance planning. Familiarity with treatment processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and facility operations is essential, as the role will help translate operational needs and engineering data into practical, sustainable solutions.
Education, training, and experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in engineering, and at least ten years of focused engineering experience, or six years of progressively responsible diversified engineering and project management experience, preferably in a wastewater/water utility, four years of which were at the level of IEUA's Senior Associate Engineer-PE; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Licenses; certificates; special requirements: A valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance program. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California.
