Accounting Analyst I
CTG is seeking to fill an Accounting Analyst I opening for our client. Location: Buffalo, NY (Must spend approximately 50% of time onsite in Buffalo, NY) Duration: 3 month
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support general ledger close, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Review accounting transactions and research account variances.
- Prepare accounting reports and work papers.
- Assist with process improvements, system changes, testing, and portfolio integrations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulations, and internal controls.
- Support accounting projects and collaborate with business partners and auditors.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Works independently under general supervision and interacts with internal business partners and auditors.
- Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: None.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or 4 years of combined education/work experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excel/spreadsheet proficiency.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Accounting experience.
- MBA or CPA.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
