Associate VP Information Systems Manufacturing

Summary

Reporting directly to the President, the Associate Vice President, Information Systems isresponsible for the global management, strategy and execution of theorganization's Information Technology infrastructure for all locations andfunctions. The company is a vertically integrated manufacturer of piston engineproducts that it sells both direct and through distribution requiring highreliability of its ERP / MRP, CRM and general IT systems.The company utilizes a combination of localnetworks with primary network capability operated from the Cloud as maintainedby a contracted third-party system and service provider.The position, therefor, has primaryresponsibility to oversee the company's Information Technology provider.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities :

Oversight of this small cap, global company's anddivisions main and supporting IT service provider to ensure performance andmaximum customer service to the internal customers.

Maximize IT system reliability, up time and capabilitieswhile maintaining cost discipline.

Work directly with the company's IT provider on theselection and execution of various company initiatives.

Develops, maintains and regularly updates a multi-yearIT plan related to the company's and operating divisions' operating systems,ERP / MRP systems, CRM systems, and IT platforms, as well as staying current inIT trends and advancements.

Leadership of 24 / 7 support services to insure quickresolution of all IT related work interruptions.

Work closely with all profit and functional teams and theexecutive team to deliver optimum service, maintain costs, determine areas ofimprovement, and support initiatives driven by the company's balanced scorecard.

Supports all divisions of the company regardingstrategic software and IT initiatives.

Performs cost analysis on IT projects and makes collaborativedecisions along with other department leaders.

Ensures IT Service Providers exceeds all contracted servicelevels.

Provide project management for all software and hardwareupdates and initiatives.

Support operational and functional area evaluations ofannual IT needs and budgets.

Skills Required :

Computer / Technical / Project experience in ERP / MRP systemfor a manufacturing environment with systems such as Macola by Exact, SAP,Oracle, or similar.

Network management within a multi-site companyenvironment.

Project Management and Budgeting.

Programming and Application Development Experience tosupport oversight of such projects.

Network and system security management.

Operation and management of cloud sourced networks.

Microsoft SharePoint and Cloud Services.

Data system management.

Education and / orExperience Required :

Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from afour-year college or university in information systems, information technologyor similar degrees and 7-10 years'

equivalent experience andtraining, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Master's degree is desired.

Experience in managing a budget and ITdepartment is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience in a complexsoftware system implementation at either the project management or leadershiplevel.

Other Abilities Required :

Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to maintain positiveinternal / external relationships.

Background in a manufacturing environment (automotive, aviation preferred)

Excellent communication skills and the ability to make effective andpersuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to topmanagement and other groups.

Ability to complete problem analysis and problem resolution at both astrategic and functional level.

Ability to motivate high performance teams and be a strong teamplayer.Must be committed to companyvalues.

Demonstrated consultative approach to building business relationships andrecommending best courses of actions while gaining commitment from parties withdiffering opinions and positions.

Additional foreign language abilities a plus (German, Chinese).

TravelRequirements :

Ability to travel internationally with little to no notice.
