Alaska Waste , a Waste Connections company, has an immediate opening for a Cart Delivery Driver to support local routes in Anchorage, AK! Have you wanted to get your CDL?
We can train and pay for your Class B CDL!
Schedule is Mon-Fri, 5-8's. Clock in time is 5 : 30am. After you get your CDL, you become a full-time driver for us here in Anchorage.
Pay starts at $22.00 per hour depending on experience. After you get your CDL, we bump you up to $25.00 per hour when you get your route!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ability to safely operate delivery truck to deliver containers.
- Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
- Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
- Ability to perform a physically demanding job, lifting and moving containers that weigh over 75 pounds.
- Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift / load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
- Courteous interaction with our customers
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT :
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds. Moderate noise level.
- Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which requires following basic safety precautions.
- Exposure to outside weather, including frequent wet and / or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Ability to lift at least 75lbs.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
- CDL is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and have an acceptable driving record.
