Heavy Cleaner - Housekeeping (Big Island, Full-Time, 40)

RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY:

Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the department/hospital; picks up biohazard/hospital trash and soiled linen; performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH) in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Performs duties in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work involves performing duties in a small, confined space, ability to negotiates stairs, ramps, and walking uneven ground, and performing tasks sometimes in wet/slippery and hazardous conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent education desirable.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- No certification and/or licensure requirement.
C. EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or heavy-duty cleaning required.

Experience to demonstrate knowledge and ability in using floor maintenance equipment, including scrubbers, strippers, burnishers, and waxing machines preferred.
