CMM Programmer/Quality Technician (1st Shift) - Automotive Manufacturing

Quality Assurance SpecialistQuality-focused professional with strong expertise in product quality monitoring, precision inspection, and metrology. Skilled in the use and programming of CMMs, vision systems, and advanced measurement tools to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Experience performing data analysis and other functions to assist production, prototypes, and continuous improvement initiatives.Job Specific ResponsibilitiesProduct Quality MonitoringFirst Piece and In Process inspection using standard inspection tools including CMM, calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gages, profilometers, contracer's, vision systems.Perform CMM programming, contracer programming, and vision system programmingParticipate in LDM, Gage R&R's, and SPC StudiesProficiently use the computer to communicate to all levels of managementValidation support of general CMM maintenance including contacting external CMM service providers for trouble shootingProvide support to the plantValidation support of measuring equipment used in productionDocument and process data and results using various methods of data input softwarePerform annual part layouts and dimensional studies to assure parts meet or exceed customer requirementsSupport in part layout and CMM programming during prototypes and production launchesAssists in training inspectors and other personnel involved in quality inspections as neededWork independently with time management skill setEvaluate CMM data for accuracy prior to submissionComplete all other special projects requested by the Quality ManagerGeneral Responsibilities· Adhere to company policies and procedures.· Follow all safety and MIOSHA requirements.· Maintain a clean work environment.· Participate in training and meetings· Follow all company Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Standards of Conduct policies.· Report safety or quality concerns in a timely manner.Core Competencies· Organizational Skills· Technical Capacity· Communication· Initiative· Quality focus· Accountability· Attention to detail· Results driven· Safety awareness· Time managementPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time hourly position (40 hours per week). Overtime may be required.Eligibility QualificationsPrevious programming knowledgeMitutoyo CMM experience preferredStrong computer skills including basic office 365-Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPointGood understanding of SPC & MSAAble to adapt quickly to changes to priorities to support productionBe a team leader able to communicate effectively with production and managementRead and interpret complex blueprints, including GD&TUnderstands proper measurement/metrology techniques for GD&T featuresMaintain high standards of work ethics, organizational and leadership skillsPhysical Requirements· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds· Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks· Physical stamina for production workWork Environment· Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and temperature changes.
