If you're confident about your skills and abilities and want to make a real difference in your community, we'd love to welcome you to our team!Position SummaryThe Customer Service Representative is responsible for interacting with customers over the phone both locally and for remote locations in the region, supporting sales, order entry, master file maintenance, and problem resolution. They will also conduct product research with vendors and coordinate with other departments, including field sales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to pursue additional job responsibilities within sales and operations!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Answering and responding to incoming telephone and email inquiries from our customers, including vendor purchase order inquiriesExpediting Maine Oxy purchase orders and inventory/stock requestsCollecting payments, and reporting to daily Paperwork ReportsGreeting guests and visitors to direct them to the right operational channelsData entry and maintenance to include customer orders, customer contract pricing, and credit memorandumsSetting up and maintaining new Cash on Delivery customer accountsServing as point of contact for store personnel to obtain release codesAssisting with wholesale accounts, orders, and billingResearching products with vendors, including price and availability.Noticing, anticipating, and resolving conflicts and areas of opportunity or improvement related to the order delivery cycleEnsuring customer inquiries related to billing problems, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc., are promptly and courteously handled, providing follow-up as necessaryInterfacing with sales, customers, branches, and other operating areas to provide timely and accurate communication regarding capabilities, delivery, and various other operating requirementsPerforming a variety of other customer service-related duties including but not limited to research and review of customer account balances, invoices, and leases; interaction with other departments to coordinate deliveries and customer satisfaction, sales, and sales supportAll other duties as assignedThe PerksPaid holidays plus two floating/flexible holidaysChoice of Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability insuranceCompany paid Short Term DisabilityNew hires start with an annual Paid Time Off accrual of up to 120 hours per year, with up to 40 hours that carry over401K with a 50% match up to 6%Six weeks of paid parental leaveMaine Oxy is an Equal Opportunity EmployerQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :Good organizational and analytical skillsKnowledge of all order entry, data research, and other computer skills necessary to service customersAbility to communicate effectively with staff, management, customers, and vendorsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to handle conflict, and collaborate within a team environmentAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloadStrong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAn associate degree in marketing or a business-related field preferredA minimum of two years of call center customer service or inside sales experience preferredExperience using an automated order entry/inventory systemComputer experience or basic knowledge of computer order entry systemPhysical Requirements:Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, respond to inquiries, and make entries on reports and recordsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, speak and hearFrequent sitting and walking, using hands and fingers to maneuver and handle, feel, or reachReaching with hands and armsMay stoop, kneel, or crouch to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and armsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAbility to lift 25-75lbs, and occasionally lift 76lbs to 100lbsThese responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive; and, this position may also be asked to perform other duties as assigned by management.
