Logistics Intern - Summer 2027
Pella Corporation is seeking motivated undergraduate students for our Logistics Internship in Pella, Iowa.
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting transportation and logistics operations across Pella's business. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll help improve processes, support operational initiatives, and contribute to projects that drive efficiency, service, and business results.
Interns are placed on a specific team based on business needs, educational background, and skills. Throughout the summer, interns gain practical experience, build professional networks, and develop skills that prepare them for future careers in logistics, operations, and supply chain management.

Responsibilities
As a Logistics Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting transportation and logistics operations across Pella's business. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll help support business initiatives and contribute to projects that improve logistics processes and operational performance.
This internship is designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of transportation, logistics, distribution, and operational execution while building skills in problem solving, analytics, project management, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities are similar to what we expect of entry-level Supply Chain professionals who join Pella after graduation, providing meaningful experience while contributing to business objectives.
As a Logistics Intern, you may:
- Support transportation and logistics projects that improve efficiency, service, and business performance
- Analyze data and processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with logistics planning, reporting, and operational initiatives
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support transportation, logistics, and operational objectives
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to transportation and logistics processes
- Contribute to project work that supports business goals and operational effectiveness
Projects and assignments will be determined based on business needs and team priorities.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong academic standing
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, or involvement through campus organizations, work experience, athletics, volunteer activities, or other experiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with and influence others
- Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new processes and concepts quickly
- Experience leading projects, initiatives, or team efforts from planning through execution preferred
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Interest in transportation, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations
- Experience analyzing data and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Experience with project work through coursework, campus organizations, internships, or employment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs

Compensation: The starting pay rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. Compensation for this role is established through Pella Corporation's internship program. Eligible participants may receive transition assistance in accordance with company policies and program guidelines.
