Newborn Care Specialist OpportunityA family based in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to provide overnight support following the arrival of their newborn on November 11th (this is their second child). The schedule will be four nights per week (preferably Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 8pm-8am, for a minimum of four weeks. No travel will be required.The family is looking for someone who can provide experienced, nurturing overnight care while helping establish a consistent feeding and sleep routine as the baby grows.ResponsibilitiesProvide attentive and nurturing overnight care for the newbornManage overnight feeds, diaper changes, burping, settling, and soothingSupport the baby in developing a consistent feeding and sleep routineHelp establish healthy sleep habits in an age-appropriate mannerMaintain a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for the baby overnightKeep parents informed about overnight feeds, sleep patterns, and any notable changesFollow the parents' preferences and approach to newborn careProvide practical guidance and reassurance to the parents during the early newborn stageMaintain a clean and organized nursery and baby-care areaWork independently and confidently throughout overnight shiftsQualificationsPrevious professional night nanny experience is requiredDemonstrable experience caring for newbornsStrong knowledge of newborn feeding, sleep, and settlingWarm, nurturing, and attentive approachCalm and confident handling of newborns, particularly during overnight hoursReliable, punctual, and professionalExcellent communication skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining close communication with the parentsNewborn Care Specialist training or relevant certificationsRequirementsUp-to-date standard vaccinations, including Flu, MMR, Tdap, and RSVCommitment to the agreed four-night-per-week schedule and four-week contractProfessional references requiredPrior night NCS experience is essentialMust be comfortable working in a private family homeNo travel is required for this positionSalary and Benefits$ commensurate with experience
